Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
These terms are written in plain language because nobody reads legalese and pretending otherwise is a waste of everyone's time.
The service
qrmake.dev is a free QR code generator that runs in your browser. You can use it to create QR codes for any lawful purpose. There is no charge, no account required, and no usage limits.
As-is, no warranty
This tool is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It works well, but I'm one person running a free tool, not a corporation with an SLA. I make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or that the generated QR codes will work perfectly in every scanner on every device in every lighting condition. Use your judgment.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you encode in QR codes generated with this tool. Don't use it for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful. If you link a QR code to malware, a phishing site, or anything that harms others, that's on you.
Your data
We don't store your data. QR codes are generated in your browser and never touch our servers. Your local history is stored in your browser's localStorage and is under your control. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, qrmake.dev and its developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service. This includes but is not limited to: QR codes that don't scan, lost business, or any other indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. I have no plans to make this worse—the whole point is to keep it simple and free.
